Agartala, October 18, 2022 : Outraged job aspirants of Tripura on Tuesday appealed the Chief Minister – Dr Manik Saha to initiate measures in publishing the results of examinations conducted by Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) and complete the process within November next or else, allow permission for voluntary death or shoot them to death in the capital city streets.

Enraged job aspirants on Tuesday assembled in front of the JRBT office in the Directorate of Labour here in Agartala city and staged an agitation against the board officials for publishing the results of Group-C and Group D examinations conducted in August, 2021.

Speaking to reporters here, one of the job aspirants Amit Basak said “The examinations of Group-C and Group-D were conducted by JRBT on August 20 and 22, 2021. Today, about 14 months has passed, there is no initiative from the end of the Board on announcement of the results. The Education minister Ratanlal Nath in the house of state assembly held recently informed that the results will be announced. But today, over a month has passed, and no steps have been initiated to publish the results.”

“The place where the Education minister had said that the results will be published soon, but the JRBT officials seemed to be above the minister that they are reluctant to publish the results. The JRBT’s tenure is until November next. Early next year, the assembly election of Tripura will be conducted. As the election days are approaching, no one will think about the publication of results. Last year, 1 lakh 21 thousand candidates appeared for Group-C and Group-D examinations. If they are taken lightly, then it would be a loss for the government”, he added.

Basak also said “We have come to know that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming on October 27 next. We are urging the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and PM Modi to announce the results of examinations conducted by JRBT and complete the process within November or else, grant the appeal of voluntary death or shoot us to death on the city streets.”
