The Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) and the National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) have agreed to form the ‘Council of Naga Relationships and Cooperation’ to explore realistic ways for Nagas to move ahead based on Naga historical and political rights.
Led by the Convenor of NNPGs and Chairman of NSCN, this renewed spirit of commitment is an initiative undertaken by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).
“Taking forward the September Joint Accordant, the NNPGs and NSCN are committing to the values of truth forgiveness, justice and peace as the discerning power to help us choose a shared future over the divisions of the past. We urge the Naga public to jointly participate and support this process of shaping and building this future together,” – informs an official communique.
It’s worth noting that leaders of the NSCN-IM and NNPGs on September 14 signed the ‘September Joint Accordant’ in the interest of pursuing understanding among Nagas and incrementally progressing forward.
