The Arunachal Government strives to transform school education and upgrade the infrastructure to ensure the holistic development of pupils.
Considering the objectives, the Arunachal Government, NITI Aayog, and Reach to Teach Foundation conducted a two-day visioning workshop on October 18 & 19 to finalize the post-National Achievement Survey (NAS) interventions and set a three-year school transformation process in the state.
This workshop aimed to deliver quality education to students and build an ecosystem that fosters a mutual collaborative relationship between teachers, students, parents, and the extended community.
During the workshop, the state Minister of Education – Taba Tedir, launched the “Exams and Beyond – Toolkit for Secondary Students and Teachers” – a resource to help students gain confidence during exams.
Highlighting the significance of this collaborative workshop, Tedir stated, “To develop education in Arunachal Pradesh, we need to train our teachers properly. Only then will students receive a proper education. This project is the first of its kind in the state. I thank the Reach to Teach team and hope we can make Arunachal the best in education.”
The Education Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh – Padmini Singla, asserted that “Arunachal’s education system has some benefits that we don’t discuss. We have a small number of students, our Teacher-Pupil Ratio is good, and we don’t have a shortage of teachers. Therefore, there is scope to bring about significant modifications.”
Citing quality education as a significant milestone, the CEO of Reach to Teach – Ratna Viswanathan shared that the current initiative aims to enhance learning outcomes.
