The Information, Education, and Communication Activities include developing a creative brief, engaging consultants/agencies, producing audio/visual/print materials, display and disseminating IEC materials through appropriate channels.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing the PMAY-U since June 25, 2019, for constructing all-weather pucca houses with all basic amenities for all eligible families/beneficiaries in urban areas of the nation.
Four verticals, such as Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR), and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS), are solely responsible for the implementation of PMAY(U).
In addition, a Technology Sub-Mission (TSM) will facilitate the adoption of innovative, sustainable, eco-friendly, and disaster-resilient technologies and building materials for the cost-effective, expedited, and quality construction of houses.
