The Arunachal Health Minister – Alo Libang, flagged-off five mobile laboratory units fitted with high-end diagnostic requirements at Naharlagun on Friday.
These five mobile laboratory vehicles were flagged-off for Aalo (West Siang), Bomdila (West Kameng), Tezu (Lohit), Khonsa (Tirap), and Ziro (Lower Subansiri).
According to official sources, the state government procured these vehicles with financial support from the North Eastern Council (NEC). It will ensure timely interventions (treatment) and prevent the spread of ailments.
“Such interventions will help to reduce the pocket expenditure and physical and mental burden on the population, leading to improvement in livelihood,” – Libang said.
The Minister requested the concerned District Medical Officers (DMOs) to monitor and supervise the service deliveries and upkeep the mobile labs to serve the rural populace.
