Tripura: Drug-Addicted Youth Kills Two Aged Women In Dhalai District

Agartala, October 21, 2022: A shocking incident of murder took place at Tripura’s Dhanyaram Para under Gandacherra sub-divison where a drug-addicted 19-year old boy purportedly killed two women of 56 and 70 years old after being fallen into the trap of narcotic substances.

According to the police and local sources, it is reported that the 19-year old youth named Dhan Bikash Tripura of Dhanyaram Para under Raishyabari police station in Ganchacherra sub-division in Dhalai district got addicted to drugs for the last two days and started physically assaulting his parents at home.

At one time, the parents left the house and ran away to another place after being attacked by their son. On Friday around 3:40 PM, two women Mwngkwruti Tripura (70) and Fulangsri Tripura (56) residents of Maya Kumar Para, who are the relatives of Dhan Bikash and visited his house after attending an invitation. The two women sat for a while without finding anyone at home and waited for them.

At that time, Dhan Bikash Tripura was completely addicted to drugs, came home and found two of their relatives sitting inside the house. All of a sudden, Dhan Bikash attacked on the heads of the two women with an axe in the house. Hearing their screams, local people of the neighbourhood reached the spot and tried to save the women.

In the meantime, locals informed the Fire department and personnel brought the two injured women from Dhanyaram Para to Raishyabari Primary Health Center and after a while, the two injured women succumbed to their injuries.

Raishyabari police station staff arrested Dhan Bikash Tripura in connection to the attack and murder of two women. This incident has created excitement in the Raishyabari area.
