Agartala, October 22, 2022 : Castigating the allegation of CPIM over the present law and order deterioration in Tripura, Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Saturday said that there have been multiple political murders during their 25-year-long regime across the state.
Addressing a public meeting and joining programme at Gandacherra in Dhalai district, Bhattacharjee said that the CPIM leaders claimed that the law and order situation has deteriorated in the state and nothing has happened in the last four and half years standing at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala city on Friday last. He told CPIM leaders that they only gave the slogan of “Inqilab Zindabad” and were involved in “multiple political murders” during the last 25-year-long rule by the Leftist organization across the state.
“In 2016, Chan Mohan Tripura was brutally killed by the miscreants of the CPIM. State cabinet minister Bimal Sinha was assassinated during CPIM rule. Former MLA of Raima Valley assembly constituency Ananda Mohan Roaja was also killed. Now, these CPIM leaders are standing at Swami Vivekananda Maidan saying that there is no rule of law in the state. They further said of forming a grand alliance against BJP”, he added.
Bhattacharjee said, “BJP does not believe in slogans and the party also believes in development. Where was the ‘Greater Tripraland’ slogan and demand during 25 years of CPIM? Bharatiya Janata Party government is working for the people of all sections. During Modiji’s regime, people are not judged on party basis for the development. The government was formed in 2018 and has taken all the plans for the development of the poor. And CPIM has only been talking about poor people’s government for 25 years. The present government is delivering drinking water, cooking gas to every house. Bringing daily essentials to the masses through fair price shops. Social allowance has been increased from Rs 700 taka to Rs 2000.”
“In view of the work of the Bharatiya Janata Party government, the people of the state will once again bloom the lotus flower in 2023. It does not believe in the slogan of independent Tripura. The party believes in improving the quality of people. Those who are currently serving the CPIM party will no longer be there after the 2023 assembly elections. There will be only a few octogenarians left in this red party”, he also added.
Citing the shadow friendship between Congress and CPIM for several decades, Tripura BJP president said “The only difference is that earlier this friendship was hidden and now it is open.” He told the workers not to worry as Bharatiya Janata Party is coming to power in Tripura in 2023 with the support of people. He also urged people and workers not to step in the conspiracy of any instigators.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) welcomed 1,560 electorates of 711 families from various political parties.
