Call To Oneness : Nagaland CM Urges Student Community To Foster Peace; Stand For Truth & Glory Of Nagas

The Nagaland Chief Minister – Neiphiu Rio, urged the student community to utilize the resources available to them to the fullest extent to reach much greater heights in the years to come.

Addressing the 75th years Jubilee celebration of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) under the Theme “Call to Oneness” at Naga Solidarity Park in Kohima on Saturday, Rio acknowledged the effort of NSF pioneers, whose vision and aspirations stood as the guiding light of the federation.

He congratulated the federation for completing 75 years in the service of the students’ community and the Nagas.

Rio hoped the federation would continue to remain strong and carry on its legacy of serving and unifying the Naga people even in the coming years.

He remarked that the prime need of the Naga society today is oneness, unity, and harmony, urging the student community to utilize the resources available to them to the fullest extent to reach much greater heights in the years to come.

The former Minister of the Home & Finance Department in Arunachal Pradesh – Lowangcha Wanglat, noted that the federation has produced outstanding people from all walks of life and hoped that it continues to play a commendable role for the state and the nation. He said now is the time for NSF to walk the talk for geopolitical issues of the North East.

Wanglat believes that the relationship between the Nagas of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland can be one of the defining moments in Naga history and remarked that the unity among the Nagas is rooted in the values they share.

He reiterated that NSF plays a crucial role in empowering the youth and helping to eradicate stereotypes. “Although there are numerous challenges ahead, despite the imperfections, the Naga people will come to unite,” he said.

Taking to Twitter, the Nagaland CM wrote “I congratulate the Naga Students’ Federation on “NSF 75 Years Celebration.” It’s an occasion to acknowledge the pioneers who had a vision, & commend the past & present leaders who’ve led the Federation thus far. May it move forward in unity, stand for truth & glory of the Nagas.”
