The Arunachal Governor – Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) emphasized that the welfare measures for the Ex-Servicemen from the Ministry of Defence should reach the beneficiaries residing along the outlying locations of the nation.
According to a communique issued by the Raj Bhavan, the Governor reiterated the same, while interacting with the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)-cum-Secretary of Department of Military Affairs – Gen Anil Chauhan at New Delhi on Friday.
Citing about the welfare of the Ex-Servicemen across different parts of the nation, Mishra suggested more proactive measures for the welfare of the former servicemen.
The Governor, while sharing his observations about the border security in Arunachal Pradesh noted that good civil-military relations have facilitated the infrastructure development in the frontier state.
He earlier congratulated Gen. Chauhan on being appointed as the CDS. He conveyed the good wishes of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, and hoped that Gen Chauhan will make the Indian Armed Forces the best in the world.
