Agartala, November 06, 2022: Aiming to ensure re-establishment of BJP-led government in Tripura, party’s SC Morcha national president Lal Singh Arya on Sunday directed the Pradesh SC Morcha leadership to initiate a ten-day long ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ within November 26 next in 2,000 SC slums across the state.
BJP SC Morcha national president LS Arya arrived in Tripura on Saturday last for a two-day visit to strengthen the organization from the grassroot to state level in ensuring BJP’s victory in all the 60 assembly seats, said Pradesh SC Morcha president Tapas Kumar Das on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to reporters here at BJP state headquarters, Arya said that the task of visiting different states across the country has been assigned for boosting the party organization. “According to the announcement of BJP national president JP Nadda, ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ has to be done and form teams at 75,000 SC slums across the country. Highlighting about the central schemes, ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ has to be done with the inmates in 7,500 SC Hostels throughout the country.”
“From the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi i.e. September 17, the ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ kicked off across the country and will continue till November 26 next. So far, 36,000 SC slums and 500 SC hostels have been covered. In Tripura, instructions were conveyed to cover 2000 slums in 10 days followed by Mandals and ten organizational districts”, he said.
Citing the activities during two-day stay in Tripura, Arya said “Yesterday, I visited Dr BR Ambedkar Students’ Hostel. I held meetings with SC karyakartas of rural and urban areas and highlighted them about the significance of ‘sampark abhiyan’, attended a mammoth public rally at Rajnagar assembly constituency along with BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee. After the rally, 127 leaders and workers of communists and Congress joined the saffron camp. I also held meetings with the office bearers, district in-charges and presidents of SC Morcha. Today, participated in ‘Chintan Baithok’ with 50 distinguished leaders to revamp organizational meeting where former CM and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Pradesh BJP president Bhattacharjee, Tripura’s organizational secretary Phanindranath Sarma, MLAs, Ministers, etc. were present and the meeting continued for four hours.”
Expressing gratitude to the government, BJP SC Morcha national president said that party’s national president Nadda reiterated on “Seva Hi Sanghathan”, PM Modi reiterated that the work for people should reach the last mile and last person of the society for good governance.
“I thank CM Dr Saha for initiating the ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ campaign in Tripura which could not be introduced by the previous Congress or Communist governments. The government is working for the betterment of people by reaching out to them in providing government facilities like marriage certificates, caste certificate, PRTC, ration cards, etc. It is indeed a historical work. People won’t have to visit government offices for a certain period of time as the government’s administration is going to village level in providing the facilities”, Arya told reporters.
He also praised the government for social pension, subsidy of Rs 6 crore 12 lakh for beneficiaries in the Fishery sector, Rs 1 lakh grant for paramedical and B.Ed Courses students, etc. He accused the Communist party for anti-poor and anti-unemployed youths, and dipped in corruption. He also said that 4 lakh 30 thousand people are reaping the benefits of social pension which is about 45 percent of total families in the state.
BJP SC Morcha national president further added that the people have a smile on their faces for repeating the BJP-led government in Tripura. “I have come to know after interacting with people of SC community that the government is working for the welfare of poor people under the leadership of PM Modi. They are happy with the works of the Modi-led government and claim that they have received ‘Pucca’ house, Ayushman Bharat card, free rice for two years, insurance for Rs 12 only, etc.”, he also added.
