In order to amicably resolve the border dispute between Assam & Mizoram, a discussion was held between the high-level delegation led by the Assam Minister of Border Protection and Development – Atul Bora and Mizoram Home Minister – Lalchamliana at Hotel Vivanta in Guwahati on November 17.
According to the decisions, the Mizoram Government will furnish the list of villages, their areas, geo-spatial extent, and ethnicity of the people and other relevant information within three months to support their claim, which can be examined by setting up Regional Committees from both sides to arrive at an amicable resolution of the vexed border issues.
Meanwhile, the Assam Government will also extend full cooperation, whenever sought.
