In continuation with the crackdown on terror modules, the Assam Police has now detained two madrasa teachers (Maulanas) for allegedly imparting ‘Jihadi’ education to the pupils.
The Cachar Police has detained the headmaster of the madrasa – Abul Hussain, and assistant teacher – Dilbar Hussain in connection with the offence.
According to reports, the move has been initiated following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) on November 15, indicating that Jihadi Education was imparted in the concerned Madrasa.
Filed by a 14-yr-old student, the boy claimed that the teachers asked students to come to Madrasa after 11 PM.
He alleged that terror activities were initiated under the guise of religious discussions, thereby attempting to radicalize pupils and incite violence.
The minor added that on refusing their orders, the boy had to face fearful outcomes.
However, the Madrasa authority denied the allegations. According to police sources, investigation is underway into the matter.
