The Award Presentation Ceremony of Director General of Police (DGP) Commendation Disc with Certificates – 2021 was held today at GS Arya Mess, PHQ in Aizawl.

During the event, altogether 39 officials of various ranks from various Units of Mizoram Police were awarded and presented DGP Commendation Disc with Certificate, in recognition of their devotion to duty and valuable contribution to Police Service by DGP Mizoram Devesh Chandra Srivastva IPS.

The function was attended by senior police officers of the rank of SP and above posted at Aizawl. It was chaired by John Neihlaia, IPS, IGP (Hqrs). Lalbiakthanga Khiangte, IPS, DIGP(Hqrs) proposed vote of thanks.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP said that the programme is an important occasion for appreciation and recognition of hard works done by Police personnel at various posts across Mizoram.

The DGP Commendation Disc can be awarded to any ranks and files of the Department from the junior most to the senior most, but it can only be received once during entire service.

He noted that no good work of police officers and subordinates should go unnoticed and that all should strive hard to do the public service in the best possible manner and good deeds should be highlighted by senior officers.

The DGP also stressed upon that all police personnel should strive to do their job with professionalism and take pride in uniform.
