The Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs of Mizoram – K. Lalrinliana, on Friday inspected the ongoing construction of the 100-bedded District Hospital in Kolasib funded by the North East Special Infrastructure Development Schemes (NESIDS).
Lalrinliana was accompanied by Senior EE, PWD Building Project-II, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kolasib and M/S VRC Constructions (I) Pvt. Ltd., who are taking up the construction work.
The Minister urged all stakeholders, media and public to keep a close vigilance on the construction and material being used for the hospital, and informed that any sort of negligence will not be tolerated.
The District Hospital will have a parking area in the basement, a ground floor with 3 stories. It will also house a 13 capacity lift and the construction time frame is 24 months.
