The second day of the 10th edition of ‘International Tourism Mart’ at R. Dengthuama Hall, emphasized the great potential of northeastern regions to accelerate the tourism growth.
During the second day, all the eight state governments delivered a presentation on their respective States. The day also witnessed Green and Responsible Tourism session followed by Investment opportunities in Tourism Sector; where various states delegates spoke on the opportunities of their respective States in the Tourism sector.
The session was chaired by the Principal Secretary of Tourism in Mizoram – Manisha Sexana.
Sexana noted that “Mizoram is an unexplored paradise for tourists, and invited private and public investors to invest in various tourist destinations within the state.”
He further added that “the state has a huge potential for Tourism development in the fields of nature, sports, culture and cuisine; making it an ideal environment for investors to sink in their money.”
She made a clarion call for investors to train the youths as tourist guides as well as in various fields of hospitality. At the day’s B2B Session, 50 buyers and 58 sellers participated in the event.
Representatives from Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim and other private firms like Vivanta, Club Mahindra, SIB CAPS and others were present as panelists in the discussion and interactive session.
