Sikkim-Based Mountaineering Instructor – Shanti Rai Elected For Lifetime Membership Of ‘Indian Mountaineering Foundation’

Mountaineering instructor at the Indian Himalayan Centre For Adventure & Eco-tourism in Namchi – Shanti Rai has been elected for the lifetime membership of Apex Mountaineering Body of the nation – Indian Mountaineering Foundation.

The 38-years-old Shanti Rai got elected for lifetime membership, after securing the highest number of votes in the 58th Annual General Meeting of IMF held in New Delhi on November 19, 2022.

She is the first person from Sikkim to be elected as the IMF Member. Currently, she will have the opportunity to cast the vote during its presidential elections and play a crucial role in decision-making process.
