Sikkim presented the implementation of Animal Husbandry Schemes and received immense appreciation during the Regional Review Meeting for the North Eastern States held at Kolkata.
The Ministry of Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying hosted the Regional Review Meeting for North Eastern States to review the progress and new project proposals on November 28, 2022 at Kolkata.
It was attended by the Secretary of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) – P. Senthil Kumar, the CEO of Sikkim Livestock Development Board (SLDB) – Dr. Karma Doma Bhutia and Joint Director (Research) – Dr. Pema Bhutia.
The meeting reviewed the progress of schemes, such as – Rashtriya Gokul Mission, National Livestock Mission, National Program on Dairy Development, Integrated Sample Survey, National Livestock Disease Control program., etc. Besides, all the schemes implemented by Sikkim received appreciation for its performance.
Meanwhile, the AH&VS Secretary responded to all discussions and urged the support of centre for various new proposals submitted by the state.
