Political temperatures soar high in Sikkim as the opposition party Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) kicked off its ‘Sikkim Bachau Abhiyan’.

The SDF Chief Pawan Chamling shared “Sikkim is unsafe under the rule of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM)-led administration and norms violated under Article 371 F. They have failed to fulfill their promises, so we started our campaign, now we will visit various parts of the state, which can be considered as an election campaign for 2024.”

According to the President of Sikkim Rajya Manch & former MLA – Rup Narayan Chamling arrived with his supporters to participate in the ‘Save Sikkim’ campaign, launched by former Chief Minister and SDF president Pawan Chamling at Chujachen constituency on Monday.

It is worth noting that RN Chamling is the brother of Pawan Chamling, who serves as the MLA of Yangang -Ranagang with his party Sikkim Rajya Manch in 2014. R N Chamling’s Sikkim Rajya Manch (SRM) party extended its support to the concerned campaign and joined a foot rally with SDF at Koopchey under the Chujachen constituency.

The former CM Pawan Chamling received a rousing reception from SDF workers across various locations on his way to the Rongli constituency to open a block-level SDF party office.

Addressing the supporters after inaugurating the constituency-level party office, Chamling shared, “Sikkim is under crisis and SRM and its chief RN Chamling have extended support to SDF.”

“Currently, Sikkim is divided into two blocks – Sikkim Mahshaune and Sikkim Bachauane (Sikkim Destroyer and Sikkim Saver). Now, citizens must work together to save Sikkim, and people should make a choice this time. Now we have no place for Dalal (Broker). The SDF party is purified as many opportunists, and dalals have left the party and joined SKM. The last four years were hard for citizens. Give me one chance, I will come up with schemes that will last for ages and provide jobs to our children and youth in this area in this area. There are alterations in the administration but no system paribartan as claimed by SKM.” he added.
