Aizawl, the 19th May 2023: Sports minister Robert Romawia Royte on Thursday handed over documents allotting a plot of land to weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga at his office chamber.

Lalrinnunga’s parents received the land settlement certificate (LSC) on behalf of the weightlifter.

Royte said the allotment of housing plot to Lalrinnunga had been already agreed upon by the council of ministers after he won gold in the Commonwealth Games 2022. He thanked the land revenue & settlement department, local council of Ainawn Veng where the weightlifter lives, for expediting the process of land allotment.

Royte further said the Mizoram government has formulated awards for sportspersons at various levels, national, international and Olympic. He wished Lalrinnunga all the best in his quest for the Olympic gold medal.
