The Inland Water Transport authorities in Guwahati have declared a temporary suspension of ferry services today, October 25.

This suspension comes as a response to the need for improved draft levels at existing ghat points on the South Bank and the construction of a new approach road and jetty.

Ferry services will resume tomorrow, as reported.
