In the ongoing saga of escalating man-elephant conflicts in Assam, another tragic incident unfolded on Vijayadashami, October 24, at Bilpar, located near the Indo-Bhutan border under the Batabari forest range.
The victim, identified as Pradeep Boro, fell prey to a wild elephant that ventured into Bilpar village around 7 pm. In a brave yet ill-fated attempt to deter the elephant, Boro was tragically trampled.
