Manipur Cyclists To Represent India In 28th Asian MTB Championships,India Debut As Host Nation

Amidst the ongoing unstable situation in Manipur, four cyclists from the state will proudly represent India at the 28th Asian Mountain Bike Championships in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, from October 26 to 29, 2023.

As per Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA), Ronel Khundrakpam will compete in XCO and XCE events, Thotmachan Awungshi in XCR and XCO events and K Adonis Tangpu in XCR and XCE events.

Notably,Hamom Urbashi will be the first female cyclist from Manipur to participate in an international DownHill event.

This event marks the first time India is hosting the Asian MTB Championships. The Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) extends their best wishes to these determined cyclists as they represent the country during these challenging times.

Elangbam Bhubaneswar will serve as the CFI Technical Official at the event,as per reports.
