Agartala, October 26, 2023: Indrasena Reddy Nallu was sworn in as the 20th Governor of Tripura on Thursday at the Raj Bhavan. He took the oath of office and secrecy in the presence of Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Aparesh Kumar Singh, who administered the oath to him at the Durbar Hall.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, cabinet ministers, BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharjee, CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury, Agartala Municipal Corporation’s Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, State Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Justice Arindam Lodh and other dignitaries. The newly appointed Governor also received a guard of honour from the security forces in the Raj Bhavan premises.
After taking the oath, Nallu thanked President Droupadi Murmu for appointing him as the Governor of Tripura and expressed his commitment to work for the development of the state and its people. He said that he would act with transparency, empowerment and accountability and cooperate with the Chief Minister and his team for the maximum progress of the state. He also said that he would uphold the constitutional values and principles and serve the people with dedication.
