Agartala, December 09, 2023: Tripura Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, praised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) sustained success in national politics, highlighting a two-pronged strategy of “social justice” and “welfarism.” Speaking at a special camp for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Proti Ghore Sushasan campaigns in the Dukli area, Dr. Saha credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming the political landscape.

Dr. Saha emphasized Prime Minister Modi’s nine years of service, noting the absence of corruption allegations during this period. He commended Modi’s commitment to transparency and accountability, contrasting it with the perceived lack of transparency in the pre-Modi era. The Chief Minister particularly lauded the opening of Jan Dhan accounts as a “masterstroke,” describing it as the first step to connect people with banks.

Reflecting on the initial criticism faced by Modi for the Jan Dhan initiative, Dr. Saha asserted that the move eventually proved beneficial, making banking accessible to millions. He attributed the success to the elimination of middlemen, likening them to termites that had previously plagued the system. Dr. Saha credited Modi’s visionary leadership and consistent efforts through various schemes for making him the most popular Prime Minister in the country.

Pointing to the recent assembly elections as evidence of Modi’s popularity, Dr. Saha concluded his address. The Chief Minister was joined by local MLA and Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Paul, along with higher officials from the department.
