Agartala, December 11, 2023: In a landmark event on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Viksit Bharat’ @2047 portal, outlining a comprehensive vision for the nation’s development. The Prime Minister’s virtual address resonated with determination as he shared his aspirations for a fully developed India. The address took place in the virtual presence of Vice-Chancellors and Deans from universities nationwide.
The live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s address was observed at the Raj Bhavan in Agartala, where a distinguished audience, including the Governor, Vice-Chancellors, Directors, teachers, and students from various educational institutions, eagerly tuned in. Following the Prime Minister’s speech, a dynamic multi-sector workshop commenced at the Raj Bhavan, fostering an exchange of views on the idea of a developed India.
Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, speaking at the event, underscored the pivotal role of the education sector, particularly the teaching community, in achieving the ambitious goal set by Prime Minister Modi for a developed India by 2047. He emphasized the responsibility of educators in nurturing the new generation as patriotic individuals. The Governor called for motivating students to innovate in harmony with environmental conditions for the overall development of the country. Furthermore, he stressed the practical implementation of various educational initiatives and proudly declared Tripura as an emerging education hub.
Conducting the exchange meeting, Tripura Central University Vice-Chancellor Ganga Prasad Prasain facilitated discussions among esteemed participants, including NIT Agartala Dean Professor Swapan Bhowmik, Tripura Triple IT Director Abhay Kumar, Tripura University Economics Professor Indranil Bhowmik, NIT Agartala Professor Suman Dev, National Forensic Science University Assistant Professor Arpan Dutta, and ICFAI University Vice-Chancellor Priyanshu Borthakur.
During the meeting, students from various educational institutions actively contributed their perspectives on the development of India. Key themes included ensuring income for all, expanding work-oriented education, environmental protection, industrialization, and cybersecurity.
