In a significant development, the 3rd Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 T20 cricket tournament kicked off yesterday.

Commencing with knockout matches at Nagaland Cricket Stadium and Sovima Cricket Stadium simultaneously, Zunheboto had a faced off against Peren, with Zunheboto scoring 104 runs for 10 wickets in 16.2 overs, while Peren managed 101 runs for 9wickets in 20.0 overs, resulting a narrow 3-run victory for Zunheboto, as reported.

Additionally, Nuiland clashed with Longleng, securing a convincing 84-run win as they score 171/0 in 15.0 overs, while Longleng managed 87/4 in 15.0 overs.

Meanwhile, Dimapur competed against Kiphire, with Dimapur scoring 121/5 in 15.0 overs and Kiphire with 58 all out in 13.4 overs, leading to a 63-run victory for Dimapur.

Also, Chumoukedima took on Kohima and emerged victorious with a 49-run win, scoring 108/8 in 20.0 overs while restricting Kohima to 60 all out in 15.3 overs.

On the second day today, Tseminyu will play against Mokokchung (Pre-quarter) followed by Zunheboto vs Niuland (Quarter), while Wokha will play against Tuensang (Pre-quarter) followed by Mon vs Phek (Quarter).

The tournament will conclude tomorrow, on 9th February.
