Former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb Commends TIPRA Motha’s Inclusion in State Government Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

Agartala, March 08, 2024: In a significant political development, former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, paid a late-night visit to the palace of TIPRA Motha founder and royal scion, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, extending congratulations on their decision to join the BJP-led government ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the media post the meeting, BJP’s candidate for West Tripura constituency and Rajya Sabha member, Biplab Kumar Deb, expressed his satisfaction regarding TIPRA Motha’s integration into the Council of Ministers of the Tripura Government, foreseeing it as a catalyst for the holistic progress of the state.

Deb emphasized TIPRA Motha’s pivotal role in fostering peace and development across Tripura, underscoring the significance of the strategic discussions held during the meeting aimed at securing victory in both parliamentary constituencies – East Tripura and West Tripura.

“Our primary objective remains the comprehensive development of Tripura. Today’s interaction with Pradyot Debbarma centered on devising strategies for state development in the days ahead and ensuring success in both parliamentary seats and the upcoming Lok Sabha election,” remarked the former Chief Minister.

Taking to social media platform X, Biplab Kumar Deb shared a series of photographs from his courtesy call with Pradyot Debbarma, commending TIPRA Motha’s inclusion in the Tripura Government’s Council of Ministers. He expressed confidence in the accelerated development and prosperity of Tripura under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi.

Earlier, TIPRA Motha party MLAs Animesh Debbarma and Brishaketu Debbarma were sworn in as Tripura cabinet ministers during a ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Agartala, marking a significant milestone following the party’s tripartite agreement with the central and state governments.
