Agartala, March 08, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha on Friday campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in West Bengal, where he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and slammed the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Left parties for their misrule.
Dr. Saha, who is a star campaigner for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, attended several party programs in Malda district, where he addressed the party workers and supporters. He urged them to work hard to ensure the victory of the BJP candidates in the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Malda division.
He said that the BJP has a cohesive organization, which is its greatest strength, and that the party is committed to the development of the country under the direction of PM Modi. He said that PM Modi is the synonym of development and that he has given a guarantee of development to the people of India. He also said that PM Modi has given special priority to the overall development of the North Eastern states, which have been neglected by the previous governments.
Dr. Saha expressed confidence that the BJP and its allies will win more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and form the government again. He said that the people of India have faith in PM Modi and his vision for the country.
Dr. Saha also highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led government in Tripura, where he said that rapid development is taking place in various sectors. He said that the BJP government has implemented several people-oriented projects of the Central and State Governments for the welfare of the people. He mentioned the schemes such as housing, purified drinking water, Ayushman card, electricity connection, national highways, and rail communication.
He also said that the BJP government in Tripura has increased the social allowance for senior citizens by more than double, from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000 per person. He said that this was possible only because of the BJP’s policy ideals and responsibility towards the people.
Dr. Saha also lambasted the TMC and the Left parties for their oppressive and corrupt regimes in West Bengal and Tripura respectively. He said that the TMC government in West Bengal has unleashed violence and terror on the people, especially the BJP workers and supporters. He cited the example of the Sandeshkhali incident, where several BJP workers were killed by the TMC goons.
He also said that the Left parties had ruled Tripura for 35 years, during which they had exploited and deprived the people of their basic rights and amenities. He said that the BJP government in Tripura has ended the Left’s tyranny and brought a new era of peace and progress.
Dr. Saha appealed to the people of West Bengal to vote for the BJP candidates and strengthen the hands of PM Modi. He said that the BJP is the only party that can bring a positive change in West Bengal and free the state from the clutches of the TMC and the Left.
