Agartala, April 1, 2024: In a heartwarming display of talent amidst duty, Border Security Force (BSF) trooper Pavan Kumar, hailing from Punjab, mesmerized social media users with his melodious renditions of Hindi songs. The video capturing his impromptu performance, alongside fellow trooper S. Solanki from Haryana, amidst the rain-soaked morning at the Indo-Bangla border in Kailashahar under Unakoti district, quickly went viral.

Kumar’s soulful rendition of popular tracks including “Dil Galti Kar Baitha Hai” by Jubin Nautiyal and “Tu hai to Mujhe Phir Aur Kya Chahiye” by Arijit Singh, coupled with the serene morning ambiance, garnered widespread attention on social media platforms.

Sumedha Das, a local resident of Kailashahar who witnessed Kumar’s performance firsthand, took to social media to share the video, catapulting him to fame. “Listen to this BSF personnel’s magnificent voice. No autotune..no instruments..pure voice..pure bliss,” she captioned the video on Facebook, prompting thousands of views and shares.
