Tawang, July 16: The district-level Prerna Utsav was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tawang on Monday, to select two students to represent the district in the “Prerna: The Unique Experimental Learning Programme” in Vadnagar, Gujarat.
The event saw 88 participants from 16 schools in Tawang come together to showcase their talents. In-charge Deputy Commissioner, Sang Khandu, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of inculcating moral values, discipline, and sincerity in their studies. He encouraged them to become good human beings and better citizens of the country.
Following the inaugural function, the selection process began, involving presentations by participants on the themes of Prerna Utsav. A panel of seven judges from various educational institutions assessed the students on their personality and knowledge of Indian culture, shortlisting 30 students for interviews.
Principal ML Meena of JNV Tawang informed that an orientation program on Prerna Utsav was conducted in respective schools starting from July 8, 2024. He expressed hope that the selected students would gain valuable knowledge and experience, promoting national integration and cultural exchange through this program.
The selected students will represent Tawang district in the national-level program, providing a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and learning.
