Agartala, July 30, 2024: In a shocking incident that has caused widespread tension in the Agartala’s SD Mission area, a nine-year-old girl was subjected to brutal torture by her own father. The West Agartala police station has registered a case against the accused.

According to sources, the father took advantage of the absence of other family members to repeatedly torture his daughter in the SD Mission area of Camper Bazar under AD Nagar police station, Agartala city. The accused also threatened to kill her if she reported the incidents. On July 24, the father once again brutally tortured the minor girl.

The victim Sukanya later confided in her mother, who immediately informed local residents about the horrific ordeal. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the accused father fled the scene.

With the support of local residents, Sukanya’s mother filed a case of molestation and rape against the father at the West Agartala Women’s Police Station. The police have assured that legal action will be taken following a thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, the traumatized minor girl and her mother have demanded the hanging of the accused. “We want justice for my daughter. He should be hanged for what he has done,” said Sukanya’s mother.

The community remains in shock in this tragic case.
