Imphal, Aug: 6: A devastating landslide occurred early this morning at around 3:30 a.m. in Sonapur Gram Panchayat, Jiribam, following heavy rains that persisted overnight.

The landslide resulted in the death of a 10-year-old girl, identified as Nurma Begum.

Four other individuals were injured and have been admitted to CHC Jiribam and Silchar Medical College for treatment. Authorities are assessing the damage and providing aid to the affected families.
