In a significant crackdown on organised crime, Manipur Police have arrested three individuals belonging to the proscribed outfit Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) from the Changangei Uchekon area in Imphal West District.

The arrested individuals, identified as Oinam Milan Singh (52 years), Yumnam Ranbir Singh (51 years), and Khaidem Dhanabir Meitei (24 years), were reportedly involved in extortion activities in and around the Imphal area.

During the operation, law enforcement officers recovered a number of items from the suspects, including four mobile handsets, two Aadhaar cards, two driving licences, two PAN cards, one voter card, three wallets, a total sum of Rs. 9,125, and a four-wheeler vehicle.

The arrests mark a significant step in the ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and maintain law and order in the region. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further links and prevent future criminal activities.
