A coordinated search operation was conducted near Wabagai Natekhong Khulpali Ground under the jurisdiction of Hiyanglam Police Station, Kakching district today. The operation, conducted from 7:00 am to 9:30 am, involved combined teams from the Commando Unit Kakching, 5/9 Gorkha Rifles, one column of 33 Assam Rifles, one column of 5/9 GR, one platoon of A-Coy 126 BN BSF, and a team from Hiyanglam Police Station. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Thokchom Vikramjit Singh, Superintendent of Police, Kakching District.
During the search operation, various arms and ammunition were recovered, including sten MkV Rifle with 2 magazines, two 12 Bore Single Barrel Rifles, two 9mm Pistols with magazines, nine Hand Grenades, one Stun Grenade , four Arming Rings, four Tube launchers, eight 9mm live rounds, three 12 bore live cartridges, two 12 bore fired cartridges, eighteen 7.62 Explosive Cartridges, ten 7.62 SLR fired cartridges ten 7.62 AK fired cartridges.
A case has been registered at Hiyanglam Police Station, and further investigation is currently underway.
