Gangtok, August 28: Yankila Lama, a dedicated Arts graduate teacher at Modern Senior Secondary School, has been selected for the esteemed National Teachers Award.

Lama began her teaching career as a government teacher in 2012, serving at various schools, including Maniram Secondary School near Namchi and Pangthang Junior High School, before joining Modern Senior Secondary School.

The National Teachers Award recognizes Lama’s outstanding contributions to education, dedication, and commitment to inspiring students.

From her first posting at Maniram Secondary School to her current assignment at Modern Senior Secondary School, Lama’s teaching career has been marked by excellence and a passion for education.
