Arunachal Pradesh: NRC Pig Guwahati Holds Farmer-Scientist Interface Meeting In Tawang

Itanagar, Aug 30: The National Research Centre on Pig (NRC Pig), Guwahati, Assam, organized a one-day research extension farmer interface meeting and input distribution program under the Tribal Sub Plan at Community Hall Kyidphel, Tawang district.

The event, held in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tawang, aimed to promote scientific pig farming practices among tribal farmers. NRC Pig Guwahati distributed 1000 bags of animal feed and 250 milk cans to attending farmers.

Dr. Pranab Jyoti Das, Principal Scientist, NRC Pig Guwahati, emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition for healthy livestock growth. He announced plans to provide training on feed production and animal husbandry for selected farmers to enhance economic sustainability.

Experts from NRC Pig Guwahati and KVK Tawang addressed the gathering, urging farmers to adopt scientific methods for better production and higher yields. The event was attended by local farmers, Gaon Burahs, Panchayat members, and scientists from NRC Pig Guwahati and KVK Tawang.
