Manipur Police apprehended a member of the proscribed outfit KCP (Taibanganba) from the Lamphel area in Imphal West District on Friday. The individual, identified as Laishom Sundar Singh, aged 38, was reportedly involved in extortion activities.

During the arrest, police recovered several items from Singh’s possession, including two mobile handsets, one side bag, one wallet, cash amounting to Rs 36,320, and a four-wheeler vehicle. The authorities are currently investigating his involvement in other criminal activities linked to the KCP (Taibanganba) outfit.

This arrest is part of an ongoing effort by Manipur Police to crack down on illegal activities and ensure the safety and security of the region.
