Tripura: BSF Personnel Allegedly Takes Own Life, Probe Launched

Agartala, September 10: A 40-year-old Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, B Arun Dilip, allegedly took his own life on Monday while on duty near the India-Bangladesh border in Kamalpur, Dhalai district.

According to preliminary investigations, the jawan shot himself with his service rifle. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries despite medical intervention.

A detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. The Tripura police are probing the possibility of suicide but have not ruled out other potential scenarios.

The BSF has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of one of its personnel and has promised to provide all necessary support to the family.
