Security forces on Monday successfully recovered two submachine carbines, two magazines, 199 empty casings, and an improvised explosive device, identified as a Pompi bomb, during combined search operations in the Mongbung and Kashimpur Balijuri villages of Jiribam District.

The operations were part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and combat illicit arms in the region.
