Itanagar, Oct 4: Arunachal Pradesh will host the 2nd Edition of the Tawang Marathon on October 24, 2024. Chief Minister Pema Khandu made the announcement, inviting runners from across India to participate at an elevation of 10,000 feet.

The marathon, organized by the Indian Army in partnership with the Arunachal Pradesh government, aims to showcase the region’s stunning landscapes, known as the “land of mystic mountains.” The event focuses on promoting both athletic endurance and appreciation for the natural environment.

To generate enthusiasm, a Promo Run featuring the event’s mascot, TABOS, is planned for October 13, 2024, in Itanagar. This initiative aims to engage both participants and the local community in the lead-up to the marathon.

Khandu stated that the Tawang Marathon represents not only a sporting challenge but also a celebration of national unity and cultural diversity, encouraging broad participation from all.
