Agartala, Oct 4: Chief Minister Manik Saha officially launched the ‘bhoomi-pujan’ ceremony for the Ekta Mall, which aims to serve as a platform for promoting and selling local products from Tripura.

The mall is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to establish Ekta Malls in every state, aligning with the ‘One District, One Product’ strategy intended to bolster regional economies.

During the ceremony at Hapania, Saha highlighted the potential impact of the mall on local businesses and artisans, emphasizing its role in enhancing the visibility of Tripura’s unique offerings.

The Ekta Mall is projected to be built with an investment of approximately Rs 150 crore and is expected to become a key marketplace for the state’s products in the future.
