Kohima, Oct 16: The Finance Commission will visit Nagaland from November 2 to 4, Chief Secretary Dr. J Alam announced during a meeting with Administrative Heads and Heads of Departments yesterday.
Dr. Alam stressed the importance of the Finance Commission’s recommendations for Nagaland and requested all departments to extend maximum support during the visit. He also urged officials to be present in station during the commission’s stay.
Additionally, Dr. Alam discussed preparations for the upcoming Hornbill Festival 2024, scheduled to take place at Kisama. He expressed optimism that ongoing reconstruction and renovation work will be completed on time, thanks to assistance from allied departments.
To ensure a successful festival, two state-wide mass social works have been planned for October 21 and the third week of November.
