Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, is arriving in Agartala today for a three-day visit. Upon arrival, he will meet Governor Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and Chief Minister Prof (Dr) Manik Saha this evening.
Margherita will then visit Khowai district to review progress of central and state government schemes, including education, health, Jal Jeevan Mission, agriculture infrastructure, and skill development projects. He will interact with women-run Self Help Groups and district officials.
Tomorrow, the Minister will visit the Handicraft Cluster Project, ‘Samarth’ Training Centre, and Handloom Awareness Programme. In the evening, he will visit the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur.
On October 18, Margherita will chair a review meeting with Ministry of Textiles officials at the state Secretariat and visit Purbasha Emporium and Weavers Service Centre. He will depart for Delhi in the evening.
This visit aims to strengthen central government initiatives in Tripura and promote the state’s textile and handicraft sectors.
