Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) membership in the state has already crossed 6 lakh and is on track to meet the target of 12 lakh. The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the party’s growing popularity, citing people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.
Saha made this announcement while participating in the BJP’s membership drive in several areas of the 8 Town Bardowali assembly constituency. He engaged with residents at booths 16 and 17 in Ward No. 20, alongside other party leaders, including Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar and Corporator Ratna Dutta.
The membership drive has generated significant enthusiasm, with over 12,000 people joining out of a target of 20,000 in the constituency alone. Saha welcomed the new members, stating, “On behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party family, I extend a warm welcome to all the new members.”
The BJP’s membership campaign is being conducted not only in Tripura but across the country. With over 6 lakh members already enrolled, the party is optimistic about reaching its target of 12 lakh soon.
