Shillong’s 17-year-old dancing sensation Steve Jyrwa has made history by emerging victorious in Sony TV’s India’s Best Dancer Season 4. Jyrwa, from Nongmynsong, clinched the coveted title, a Rs 15 lakh cash prize, and a car in the grand finale.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated Jyrwa on social media, praising his achievement as a milestone for Meghalaya.
Judge Karisma Kapoor lauded Jyrwa’s “remarkable” journey, citing his “incredible talent, raw energy, and fast footwork” as key factors in his success.
Jyrwa outperformed fellow finalists Harsh Keshri, Nextion, Nepo, Akanksha Mishra, and Aditya Malviya. His choreographer Raktim Thakuria received Rs 5 lakh.
Jyrwa’s win is a testament to his dedication and hard work. “Winning India’s Best Dancer is a dream come true,” he said, thanking his family and mentors for their unwavering support.
