Ginjing Tari from Arunachal Pradesh made history by clinching the gold medal in the Youth Boys 500m Time Trial (Sprint) event at the National Track Cycling Championship held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Sunday. Tari’s victory marks a significant milestone, as he becomes the first cyclist from Arunachal Pradesh to win a gold medal at a national cycling competition.
In the same event, Messi Karten from Andaman & Nicobar secured the silver medal, while Chungkham Mangal Mission from Manipur won the bronze.
Adding to the state’s success, another cyclist from Arunachal Pradesh, Pissa Yagu, is scheduled to compete in the championship on Monday, continuing the region’s strong presence in the competition.
