Guwahati, Nov 23: Four people, including three members of the same family, were killed in a brutal attack by miscreants in Assam’s Nagaon district on Friday night. The incident took place in the Gorajan area near Laokhowa, under the Rupahi assembly constituency.

According to police, sharp weapons were used in the attack. A police team immediately reached the scene and launched an investigation into the matter.

Local sources confirmed that three of the deceased were from the same family. Nagaon district Superintendent of Police, Swapnaneel Deka, assured that the investigation is ongoing and that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

Congress MLA from Rupahihat, Nurul Huda, who is in Bengaluru for medical treatment, expressed his shock at the incident and extended his support to the ongoing investigation. More details are awaited as authorities continue their inquiry.
