Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has announced the establishment of a State NITI Aayog to boost the state’s development. The new body will align with the Central government’s NITI Aayog and focus on the efficient implementation and monitoring of government schemes, promoting transparency and accountability.

The State NITI Aayog will be headed by a Chairman and Vice-Chairman, along with seven cabinet-rank members, and will track the physical and financial progress of various government projects. Chief Minister Tamang emphasized that this initiative is a step toward ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth in Sikkim.

Additionally, the Chief Minister revealed the formation of a Constituency Development Committee, which will work alongside the NITI Aayog to create development plans tailored to individual constituencies. This marks a significant shift in governance, aiming to foster efficiency, transparency, and localized progress across the state.
