In a significant operation, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Land Customs team, seized foreign-origin contraband valued at Rs 12.15 lakh in the Zokhawthar region of Champhai District, Mizoram.

The contraband was recovered during a joint operation in this strategic border area. The seized items have been handed over to the Land Customs Station in Zokhawthar for further legal proceedings and investigation. Authorities are working to trace the source and destination of the illegal goods as part of their ongoing efforts to combat cross-border trafficking.
