14 Acres Of Illegal Poppy Plantations Destroyed In Manipur’s Kangpokpi

Imphal, Dec 11: A total of 14 acres of illegal poppy plantations were destroyed in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, on Tuesday. The operation was carried out by a combined team of Kangpokpi district police and 90 CRPF personnel near Thonglang Akutpa village.

A case has been registered, and authorities have vowed to take action against those responsible for the illegal cultivation. The operation was supervised by the SP of Kangpokpi and led by the Additional SP (L/O).

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh praised the security forces for their swift and effective action in eradicating the illegal plantations, adding that an FIR has been filed for further investigation.
